
A bill is passed from the legistature of Nepal amending the Land Revenue Act which states that the land transaction shall not be carried out without license.
Parliament has passed a bill for amending Asset Laundering Prevention Act 2064 on 7th February 2024. A person sholud obtain license for the land transactions other than the area or size of land and amount prescribed by the government.
Transactions for land should be compulsory other than the purchase or sell of land by natural person in mutual consent.
There is a provision of fines up to Rs 25,00,000 and imprisonment upto 6 months in case of transaction without obtaining license.
