Simal Cinema is an independent film production company based in Kathmandu, Nepal, founded in 2017 to champion emerging independent filmmakers from Nepal. We are dedicated to developing, producing, and promoting films that reflect unique and diverse perspectives. Our productions have premiered at renowned international film festivals, including Busan, Rotterdam, Clermont-Ferrand, Melbourne, Tampere, ifva, Fribourg, Raindance, Torino, and POFF Shorts Black Nights Film Festival.
